As the holidays approach, many of us attempt to emotionally prepare ourselves for the onset of family togetherness. If you happen to be the family member chosen to host this year’s festivities, it may be important to make a good impression. Here are some ways to bring some class and subtlety to the table.
Firstly, having a good centerpiece is always something to consider. In order not to clutter the table before or during your holiday feast, you may like to have a small piece that still makes a vivid statement. Fruits and vegetables or a potpourri of natural elements (such as pinecones) are great ways to accomplish this. Next, it is always nice to bring in subtle hints of fall colors – think napkins and table cloth trim. These warmer colors bring in the vibrance of the outdoors while leaving the cold outside where it belongs. Lastly, if you are one who enjoys assigned seating during family gatherings, you may utilize place setting. Making small cards in order to seat family members where you please serves to make you look organized as well as making sure you actually have a seat for everyone attending.
Use these tips wisely and have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!

Fall is upon us regardless of what the weather outside may tell you! With respect to Feng Shui, fall is the season of clearing the old to embrace the new. This often entails a bit of reoganization.
In general, try to organize things differently in your home to keep them interesting. Reducing clutter on counters and tables (or anywhere else for that matter) will increase the flow of energy throughout your home and office.
Move things around on your bedroom dresser to spice up your love life. Keeping your nightstand organized and clutter-free also helps improve your romance. Only keep one book on your bedside table, a big pile disturbs your rest.
Make use of plants or artwork in corners to soften the edges of a room. Sometimes a little open space or using a little less furniture can be calming and refreshing.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, our homes will be doing double-duty to receive friends and family.
Start with a welcoming wreath of nature’s autumn harvest to hang on your door.
When Thanksgiving guests enter your home, the first space they see should be both beautiful and inviting. Elevate the seasonal feel of your entryway with a warm fall arrangement that is both natural and elegant.
Have cinnamon and spice scented candles. They say that the pumpkin pie smell is like an aphrodisiac to men and certainly everyone enjoys the scent of delicious foods.
Add a festive fall touch to your dining table with beautiful warm fall colors. Use pumpkins, gourds, and autumn-hued flowers for a center piece.
Most of all sit back, relax and enjoy your family and friends.
